From the seller's notes
This is a beautiful and nostalgic vintage Soviet-era holiday figurine of "Snegurochka" (The Snow Maiden). In Russian and Soviet folklore, Snegurochka is the granddaughter and essential helper of Ded Moroz (Grandfather Frost / Soviet Santa Claus). Traditionally, this molded plastic figure would be proudly displayed under the New Year tree alongside her grandfather. She is dressed in a classic winter coat in soft white and light blue hues, decorated with molded snowflakes and silver accents. It is a quintessential piece of mid-century Eastern European holiday charm.
