Vintage USSR Mechanical Pedometer / Step Counter (Zarya)
Up for sale is a classic Soviet-era mechanical pedometer, the "Zarya" (Заря). Produced by the Penza Watch Factory in the USSR, as indicated by the iconic bird and sun logo on the dial. Designed to look and feel like a robust pocket watch or stopwatch, this device was used by athletes, hikers, and military personnel in the Soviet Union to measure steps and distance.
